Movable Glass Partition FAQ

These answers explain common planning principles. Final dimensions, performance, hardware and interfaces depend on the selected EBUNGE system and approved project documents.

Prepare opening dimensions, drawings, application, glass preference, operation mode, parking location, delivery destination and programme where available.

Frequently Asked Questions

System & Glazing

What is a movable glass partition?

It is an operable glass panel system that can travel along a planned track and stack to reopen an interior space.

Is it the same as a fixed office glass partition?

No. A fixed partition remains installed in one line; a movable system is designed to move and park.

Are frameless systems soundproof?

A basic single-glazed frameless system prioritises transparency and movement. It should not be presented as providing high acoustic isolation.

Acoustic

Are acoustic options available?

Framed and double-glazed configurations can support enhanced acoustic performance, depending on glazing, seals, interfaces and installation.

Can the wall include a pass door?

A pass door may be integrated when the panel system, geometry, hardware and project requirements permit it.

Is a floor track required?

A top-hung arrangement without a floor track may be available when confirmed for the selected system and support structure.

Operation & Movement

What is semi-automatic operation?

It means a verified part of the operating sequence is assisted. It does not necessarily mean panels move automatically.

What information should I send?

Send drawings or dimensions, room use, privacy goal, glass and frame preferences, parking location and delivery destination.

What is the difference between single and double glazing?

Single glazing uses one pane and maximises transparency and lightness; double glazing uses two panes with a cavity in a framed panel and can support different privacy, thermal and acoustic objectives.

How do panels park when the wall is opened?

Panels travel along the overhead track and park in a planned side stack or pocket; the parking geometry is coordinated with the ceiling structure and confirmed on drawings.

What glass and frame finishes are available?

Glass can be clear, tinted, frosted, translucent or back-painted, and frames are available in coordinated powder-coated finishes; exact options are confirmed per project.

Project & Quotation

How is acoustic performance confirmed?

Acoustic data must come from approved project documents and the verified EBUNGE system specification; no generic sound insulation values are published.

Can a pass door and an acoustic wall be combined?

A pass door may be integrated within the panel system when geometry, hardware, seals and project requirements permit it.

Are the systems suitable for hotels and conference venues?

Yes, hotel conference and banquet spaces commonly use framed double-glazed operable walls for rapid reconfiguration; configuration is confirmed per project.

What coordination is needed for the ceiling track?

Overhead support, ceiling deflection, track fixing points, lights, sprinklers and adjacent doors must be coordinated early with the structural and architectural drawings.

Delivery

How is pricing prepared?

Pricing is prepared against the selected system, dimensions, configuration and delivery terms after a drawing-based review; no published prices are assumed.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, EBUNGE coordinates export packing and shipping from Guangzhou with the delivery destination and programme.

What documentation is provided with a proposal?

The proposal includes the project-specific configuration discussion and, when authorised, shop drawings; company certificates are available on the Certifications page.

Can samples be arranged?

Sample and mock-up options depend on the project scope and can be discussed during project review.

What is the difference between a movable glass wall and a sliding door?

A movable glass wall is a multi-panel operable system that stacks to reopen a full opening; a sliding door is a single moving leaf.
